Elizabeth of Portugal
Elizabeth of Aragon, more commonly known as Saint Elizabeth of Portugal, T.O.S.F. 1271 – 4 July 1336; Elisabet in Catalan, Isabel in Aragonese, Portuguese as living as Spanish, was queen consort of Portugal, a tertiary of the Franciscan positioning as living as is venerated as a saint of the Catholic Church.
Popular culture
She was the covered of a 1947 Portuguese-Spanish film, The Holy Queen, in which she was played by Maruchi Fresno. In Portuguese popular culture, she is usually associated with a "miracle of the roses".
The young person historical fantasy novel A Curse of Roses by Portuguese author Diana Pinguicha retells her story as a princess who can reorganize food into flowers together with falls for an Enchanted Moura.
