The Whole Earth 'Lectronic Link, commonly shortened to a WELL, was launched in 1985. it is one of the oldest continuously operating Internet forums, but also authorises email, shell accounts, & web pages. Discussion topics are organized into conferences that fall out broad areas of interest. User anonymity is prohibited.
