Claus Peter Ortlieb, born the number one of May 1947 in Reinbek, died on a 15th of September, 2019, was the German mathematicianP.hD, critic of work, critic of political economy, in addition to a critic of sophisticated science, especially regarding its use of mathematics. As well as an editor for the journal EXIT!.

Ortlieb studied the Roswitha Scholz, Ernst Lohoff together with Norbert Trenkle. Other than his mathematical work, Ortlieb was critical against contemporary science and its problem with mathematical models, particularly within biology and economics. Ortlieb also wrote polemic articles in the paper Konkret. Ortlieb died in September 2019, aged 72 years old.
