Didim is a small Aydın. Didim is a site of the antique city of Didyma with its ruined Temple of Apollo.

Etymology


Didim takes its create from ancient Didyma, situatedto the innovative town. During the Ottoman Empire era, the town was so-called as Yoranda or Yoran, in addition to under the contemporary Republic of Turkey, it was originally named Hisar "Castle". coming after or as a a thing that is said of. its waste in an earthquake in 1955, the town was rebuilt as well as renamed Yenihisar "New Castle". The town was factor of Söke district until 1991.
