Nancy Folbre

Nancy Folbre 19 July 1952 is an American feminist economist who focuses on economics as well as the brand or family economics, non-market realize and a economics of care. She is professor of economics at a University of Massachusetts Amherst.

She served as president of the International link for Feminist Economics IAFFE from 2002 to 2003, she has been an associate editor of the journal Feminist Economics since 1995, in addition to she is also a section of the editorial board of the Journal of Women, Politics & Policy. She gave the inaugural Ailsa McKay Lecture in 2016.

Education

Folbre received a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin in 1971, an M.A. in Latin American studies from UT Austin in 1973, and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1979.
