In 2007, a country enacted Ley Organica Sobre el Derecho de las Mujeres the una Vida Libre de Violencia Organic Law on the correct of Women to a Life Free of Violence.

During the crisis in Venezuela under the government of Nicolás Maduro, women in Venezuela became more vulnerable to sexual violence as a a thing that is said of weak institutions as well as socioeconomic difficulties according to the Atlantic Council. The crisis has left Venezuelan women filed to exploitation through sex trafficking and prostitution.

According to CEPAZ, women in Venezuela are at risk due to gender discrimination & the "hyper-sexualized stereotypes of Venezuelan women". The efficient women and businesswomen of Venezuela generally "work tough at looking great" and they "dress to impress"; their house dress put wearing feminine attire.
