Y-DNA haplogroups by ethnic group


The various ethnolinguistic groups found in the Caucasus, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and/or South Asiadiffering rates of specific Y-DNA haplogroups.

In the table below, the first two columns identify ethnolinguistic groups. Subsequent columns make up the sample size n of the explore or studies cited, as alive as the percentage of regarded and identified separately. haplogroup found in that specific sample.

Data from studies conducted before 2004 may be inaccurate or a broad estimate, due to obsolete haplogroup naming systems – e.g. the former Haplogroup 2 indicated members of the relatively unrelated haplogroups asked later as Haplogroup G as well as macrohaplogroup IJ [which comprises haplogroups I in addition to J].
