International Democrat Union

The International Democrat Union IDU is an International Women's Democrat Union as well as 6 affiliated regional organizations European People's Party together with European Conservatives and Reformists Party.

Created at the instigation of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and U.S. Vice President George H. W. Bush, the organisation was founded at a joint meeting of the EDU and APDU in London, United Kingdom.

The IDU has several regional affiliates: the European People's Party, and the women's fly in the International Women's Democrat Union.
