Media studies is a discipline & field of explore that deals with the content, history, as well as effects of various media; in particular, the mass media. In Pakistan, media studies entry are widely offered. University of the Punjab Lahore is the oldest department. Later on University of Karachi, Federal Urdu university of Art's science and technology, build department of mass communication in 2002 and many students past out this university, nowadays workings in different News channels and media house, Peshawar University, BZU Multaan, Islamia University Bahwalpur also started communication programs. Now, newly established universities are also offering mass communication code in which University of Gujrat emerged as a leading department. Bahria University which is established by Pakistan Navy is also offering BS in media studies.
