Affinity (sociology)
Affinity in terms of sociology, referenced to "kinship of spirit", interest as well as other interpersonal commonalities. Affinity is characterized by high levels of intimacy as well as sharing, normally ingroups, also so-called as affinity groups. It differs from affinity in law and Catholic canon law which loosely refer to a marriage relationship. Social affinity is loosely thought of as "marriage" to ideas, ideals and causes divided up by a tight community of people.
